Welcome to the Dodgeland High School!  I am beginning my 3rd year as the Principal at Dodgeland High School, my 12th year overall as an administrator, and my 23rd year as a professional educator.  I feel completely blessed and honored to serve as the Principal at Dodgeland High School.

On a more personal level, I currently live in Waupun with my wife of 26 years.  My wife is a music educator for Waupun School District and has spent 28 years as a professional educator.  I have 2 children. My daughter is opening up a new experience for us as she is heading off to college this year at UW-Green Bay.  My son will be a Junior in high school. FamiIy is extremely important to me and for the past 6 years or more, we have focused on the extra-curricular activities both of my children have participated in.  In my free time, I enjoy camping, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and all types of sports. In addition, I also stay very involved with my church and enjoy working in several youth organizations.

It is my mission as the Dodgeland High School Principal to make sure all of our students are prepared for the next journey they will be taking once they leave the protective doors of DHS whether it be college, technical college, military, or the world of work. It takes all stakeholders working together to develop a passion for education, to instill a desire of lifelong learning, and strong character.

Building that passion for education goes beyond the academic skills necessary for success to also include citizenship skills that are so important to being a contributing member of our society.  Because this is highly valued, you will hear and see a strong emphasis on character development and digital citizenship at our campus. Our 1:1 Learning Initiative, Character Education program, and Disciplinary Literacy implementation are all focused on making sure our students are successful.  Complimenting these programs is a strong emphasis on following our Trojan Code: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, and Choose Wisely. We remind students every day that to Do what is RIGHT, not what is EASY to help build our Dodgeland High School family. We work hard as a staff to instill, role model, and celebrate these attributes in our students.

We cannot do this ourselves.  We need strong and supportive partnerships with parents and community members in order to make sure all of our students are prepared to be productive members of our communities.  I encourage you as parents and stakeholders to communicate with teachers and myself so we can work together. We have all heard “it takes a village”. I truly believe we are one large family at Dodgeland High School and together we will build our SCHOOL of EXCELLENCE!
